Meet the Candidate

A Life Spent Answering the Call

Brian Ragain didn't spend his career in courtrooms or boardrooms. He spent it on the front lines, in burning buildings, in trauma bays, and in emergency rooms across Oklahoma.

For more than two decades, Brian has served as a firefighter-paramedic, registered nurse, ER manager, medical administrator, and onsite health technician. He's the kind of person communities call when things go wrong, and he always shows up.

Brian has always looked for needs and built solutions. He helped create the first Chickasha Firefighters Honor Guard, and he has brought that same mindset of service, leadership, and initiative everywhere he has worked.

Brian is also an author, a certified mechanic, and the creator of DyslexicText.com, a website dedicated to helping people with dyslexia read more easily. He's a man of many skills, but a single purpose: service.

Why Brian Ragain

Oklahoma Needs Someone Who Has Actually Served

Brian Ragain is not a career politician. He is a working Oklahoman with real-world experience managing real emergencies, and he's ready to take that experience to Washington.

Emergency Experience

Over 11 years as a firefighter-paramedic with the Chickasha Fire Department. Brian knows what crisis management looks like when lives are on the line, not from a briefing room, but from the fire line.

Healthcare Expertise

As the current ER manager, and with experience as an emergency room RN and former charge nurse, Brian leads by example and has spent years navigating a healthcare system that fails too many working families. He doesn't just talk about reform, he lives it every shift.

Administrative Know-How

With a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and experience as a medical administrator and safety officer, Brian understands how to fix broken systems, not just complain about them from a podium.

Community Commitment

From serving as Philanthropic Manager of CMMRF to building DyslexicText.com for readers who struggle, Brian's service goes far beyond a job title. He believes in finding needs and creating solutions that help people in practical ways.

Oklahoma Energy Knowledge

Brian understands the promise and potential of Oklahoma energy. He has worked at the Bradley Gas Plant, the Wildhorse Gas Plant, and the wind farm near Little Elk. He knows firsthand that Oklahoma's energy future should be built by people who understand the work.

No Hidden Agendas

Brian is not running for personal gain. He holds no debt to donors, no loyalty to party machines, and no back-room promises. His only agenda is Oklahoma, and he'll say it to your face.

Where Brian Stands

Real Issues. Plain Talk. Practical Plans.

Washington has had career politicians making promises for decades. Brian Ragain brings something different: the actual experience to understand these issues from the inside.

Veterans & Suicide Prevention

Too many of the men and women who served our country are coming home and losing the fight with their own minds. Brian is committed to making mental health treatment more mainstream, more accessible, and less stigmatized, and to pulling our service members out of endless foreign conflicts that are tearing families apart.

Why Brian: As a paramedic, RN, and ER leader, Brian has worked directly in behavioral health and emergency mental health response.

Government Accountability

Congress has spent too long protecting itself from the rules that apply to the rest of us. No more taxpayer-funded bailouts for well-connected private interests. No more special pardons for lawmakers. Brian will expose the corruption, fight the hidden agendas, and put the people back in charge.

Why Brian: As an outsider with no political debt and a background in safety and compliance, he knows how to identify system failures and demand accountability.

Healthcare & Taxpayer Fairness

Working families should not be subsidizing private healthcare companies with their tax dollars. Brian has worked in emergency rooms, hospitals, and clinics and has seen firsthand how the system fails ordinary people while protecting corporate interests. It's time to fix it.

Why Brian: With years of frontline healthcare experience as an RN, paramedic, and ER manager, Brian understands the broken system from the inside.

No More Endless Wars in the Middle East

Brian believes in a strong national defense, but he does not support dragging America into another drawn-out conflict in the Middle East that repeats the failures of Vietnam. American sons and daughters should not be sent into open-ended wars with no clear mission, no clear victory, and no clear benefit to the American people.

Why Brian: Brian has spent his life serving others and understands the cost of decisions made far away from the people who bear the burden.

Mental Health Access

Mental health is health. Whether it's a veteran struggling after deployment, a first responder dealing with trauma, or a working parent who can't afford therapy, Brian believes mental healthcare should be treated with the same urgency as a physical emergency, not hidden in shame or buried in paperwork.

Why Brian: Brian's background includes behavioral health and emergency mental health experience as both a paramedic and RN.

Energy Independence & Oklahoma Opportunity

Oklahoma has the resources, workforce, and know-how to help power America. Brian supports an all-of-the-above energy approach that respects the people who work in oil, gas, and renewables, and keeps energy policy grounded in reality instead of political fashion.

Why Brian: Brian has worked at the Bradley Gas Plant, the Wildhorse Gas Plant, and the wind farm near Little Elk. He understands Oklahoma energy because he's been part of it.

Veterans & Mental Health

We Owe Our Veterans
More Than a Flag.

Every day in America, an average of 22 veterans take their own life. That is not a statistic. That is a failure of leadership, and Brian Ragain is tired of watching it happen.

Brian will fight to make mental health treatment more mainstream and more accessible, stripping away the stigma that keeps veterans from asking for help, and demanding that Washington fund the resources these men and women have already earned.

He will also push to remove American service members from the pointless foreign conflicts that fuel the trauma in the first place. Real support for veterans means bringing them home, treating their wounds, seen and unseen, and giving them back the lives they sacrificed so much to protect.
